Darling is the genre-blending duo of Jacqueline Tozzi and Preston Pope. After six years of touring and recording together in the Americana trio The Dales, they formed Darling in early 2025. Tozzi’s powerhouse vocals and Pope’s guitar drive songs where classic-rock grit meets the emotional depth of soul.

After six years of touring and recording as the Americana trio The Dales, whose EP Easy Times charted on Triple A and Americana radio, Jacqueline Tozzi and Preston Pope formed Darling in early 2025.

Darling is where the grit of classic rock meets the emotional depth of soul, with roots in country. Tozzi’s signature powerhouse vocals, equal parts smoky vulnerability and fierce conviction, lead the way. Pope’s guitar work and melodic instincts drive the sound into bold new territory. Years of harmonizing and writing together show in every note.

In 2025 the band played from Solvang, California to Brooklyn, New York, opened for London’s Young Gun Silver Fox at The Wonder Bar in Asbury Park, and played the Round Top Film Festival in Texas. In 2026 they are back in the studio recording new music. Darling plays as a duo or with a full band.
